This is a day late, and there is no excusing that. The original pin up, has died aged 85.

We owe her (amoung others) for many of what we now take for granted, from page 3 girls to thrilling burlesque and nude photo shoots. Page was an early Playboy playmate of the month (January 1955) though what made her reaaly famous was her then illegal; fetish and S&M photographs, many of which would be sold under the counter to customers who could not, in puritanical America, legally buy erotic photography in stores



And Dita Von Teese loves this lady. And states her as a role model in her persuits of Burlesque, which i think we are all grateful for.
