So i sorted through my final bags of change and am pleasantly surprised by how many of the denominations i have.


Now on the assumption that all the coins were minted in a traditional 2008 as well as the new graphical design on the reverse of the coins then this is the list of coins i need to complete the possible set of 1988-2008 coins. representing the first 20 years of my life.

16 coins that i havent got, 30 that werent minted.

20 years of 8 coin denominatations (and a new set of 7 this year) = 167

take away the coins i dont have, and the ones i couldnt get because they werent minted so far i have 121 seperate coins, that range between the years i was born and today (plus the hundreds of duplicates).

I am quite impressed at the stash. Which amounts to a value of... £45.32 so far.
